Help a hospital in one of the most remote regions on Earth provide pregnant women with prenatal care.
In Achham, Nepal, 90% of births happen in the home without trained healthcare providers, and three of every hundred women are at risk of dying from preventable pregnancy-related causes. At the Bayalpata Hospital in Achham, Nyaya Health is working to provide all women in this impoverished district with comprehensive prenatal care by a trained midwife, improving the health situation of both mother and child and preventing needless deaths during childbirth.
You can help. Just $15 provides the salary for a nurse midwife and all the supplies for twenty-five women to receive prenatal visits at the Bayalpata Hospital in Achham, Nepal.
Nyaya Health operates a hospital and mobile medical care services in Achham, a large district in Nepal and one of the poorest regions in South Asia. Nyaya provides essential primary care to the region, working in partnership with local government officials as part of an initiative to rebuild the public sector health system. Nyaya constructs healthcare infrastructure, trains local health workers, and provides direct medical services, employing an all-Nepali staff with supervision and training from volunteer public health experts. The group maintains complete transparency in expenditures, operations protocols, and clinical outcomes.
