The jewelry is made from used artillery shells and scrap metal found scattered throughout the former war zones of Ethiopia; in addition, they make products from recycled tires and Ethiopian coffee beans.
Entoto Beth Artisan has enable the women to have a more comfortable, less physically demanding work environment for the HIV-positive women. They also provide a number of literacy and math classes to the artisans, as well as programs for parents on nutrition, discipline, health and hygiene. For the children, the organization offers an after-school tutoring program.
