Finding it hard to stay indoors and keep active? We don’t blame you! Your plate is full right now and we know that keeping up with work, family, and your sanity is hard to do in a confined space.
Remember, take some time for yourself! It’s always important to give yourself some “me” time. Even just 30 minutes in a day where you can reflect and set your mind at ease is a healthy practice regardless of quarantine or not.
If you find yourself worrying about your physical health and staying active during this quarantine period, here’s some tips and tricks to keep active and stay fit throughout the day.
1 GREAT WORKOUT WITH 5 EASY EXERCISES
Start off with step 1 (cardio), rest for a minute. Start at step 2 (glutes) to step 5 (arms) and repeat for 4 reps. Take a one minute break between each rep. Overall, the workout should last 17 minutes where you’ll be feeling great for the rest of the day!
1. CARDIO- Jumping Jacks
Get your heart rate up! Jumping jacks are a great workout that utilizes your whole body. 4 minutes of jumping jacks will definitely have your heart pumping for the day!
2. GLUTES- Body Weight Squats
Feel the burn! 30 seconds of squats will tighten up your lower body. The key is to squat enough that your thighs and calves are at a 90 degree angle. Keep your back straight at all times and never lock up your knees too!
3. ABS- Ab bicycles
Get on your back, hands behind your head. Your left elbow should hit your right knee cap and vice versa, your right elbow to left knee cap. This exercise should be one continuous motion which will have your abs burning.
4. CORE- Planks
Keep your arms at a 90 degree angle, straight back, and legs 6 inches apart- that’s the key to a plank that will strengthen your core!
5. ARMS- Contralateral Superman
On your tummy! Keep your arms and legs high up so they are off the ground, lift your right arm with your left leg and vice versa, lift your left arm with your right leg. This workout is primarily focused on arms but will help tighten up your abs and glutes too.
